BINDERY

Privacy policy

Bindery does not collect anything. It has no server, no account and no analytics, and it never uploads your documents — every operation runs on your own device.

What is collected

Nothing

Bindery collects no personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing about you or your files is transmitted off your device.

Your documents

They stay on your phone

Every operation — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, password locking — runs entirely on your device using an offline PDF engine.

Bindery requests no storage permissions at all. It can read only the specific files you hand it through Android's picker, and it writes only to the location you point it at. The one piece of network traffic associated with the app is Google Play's own billing check, which happens inside the Play Store, not inside Bindery.

Purchases

Handled by Google Play

Bindery offers a single optional one-time purchase that removes the limit on saving finished files. The transaction is processed entirely by Google Play's billing system, not by Bindery. Google receives the payment information and tells the app one thing in return: whether this Google account owns the unlock.

No payment details ever reach Bindery, and the app has no server to send them to. Google's handling of that transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Stored on your device

Two numbers, and that's it

Bindery keeps a small local settings file containing a count of how many files you have saved and whether the unlock has been purchased. It is not readable by other apps, and is deleted when you uninstall Bindery.

That file is explicitly excluded from Android's cloud backup, so it is never copied to Google Drive. It is carried across only by a direct device-to-device transfer, the kind you run yourself when setting up a new phone, so that upgrading a handset does not cost you your unlock.

Children

Not directed at children

Bindery is a general-purpose document utility and is not directed at children under 13. Since it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.
