Privacy Policy for Foreman
This Privacy Policy explains how AEBU Technology, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in the Foreman mobile application (the "App"). Foreman is a workflow tracker for small shops and workplaces, where a manager ("boss") creates and assigns jobs and team members ("workers") report progress.
By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to run the App:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and the display name you choose.
- Content you create. Information you enter into the App, including your shop/workspace name, jobs (titles, descriptions, priorities, statuses, due dates, checklist steps, and quantities), progress notes, your role (boss or worker), and invite codes.
- Basic technical data. Our service provider (Google Firebase) may process standard technical information needed to sign you in and sync your data, such as an anonymous user identifier and connection information.
We do not collect your location, we do not use advertising, we do not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and the App does not collect photos or files.
How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To store your jobs and progress and keep them in sync across devices.
- To share job information among members of the same workspace so a shop can coordinate work.
How Information Is Shared Within the App
Foreman is a shared, multi-user tool. Content you create in a workspace is visible to other members of that same workspace. Specifically, a boss and the workers in a shop can see the shop's jobs, statuses, progress notes, checklist steps, quantities, and the display names of members. Your email address is not shown to other members. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone outside your workspace, except with the service providers described below.
Service Providers
We use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to provide account sign-in and to store and sync your data. Your information is stored on Google's servers and processed according to Google's privacy practices. You can read Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Within the App, a boss can delete jobs, and can remove workers from a shop.
- You can request deletion of your account and its associated personal data at any time by emailing us at the address below. We will delete your account information and the personal data we hold about you, subject to any obligations that require us to retain certain records.
Note: because jobs and progress notes are shared work records within a workspace, content you created may remain visible to your shop unless the workspace owner also removes it.
Security
We protect access to your data using Firebase security rules and Google's infrastructure, which restrict data access to the members of your workspace. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Foreman is intended for use in a workplace and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
